About Carol Lloyd
Carol began her journey into the arts during her early teens, thanks to a wonderful teacher who gave Carol new perspectives to explore. That curiosity continued to expand and flourish. Carol went on to study art and architecture, receiving a Bachelor of Architecture from Washington State University.
Composition, design elements, forms and textures became the foundation for seeing the world around her. Carol’s photography and digital art has evolved over the years, using the elements of design to create a view into the world which is atypical and inspired by the lines and angles of a building or the curves, textures and flow of nature. Bringing out textures and making use of light play are key elements in her work to accentuate the beauty around us.
Carol now resides in Florida giving her a myriad of wildlife subjects to capture. She also loves to travel which only expands her horizons and photographic opportunities. Carol explores textural techniques and the dynamic range of digital art from her original photos, drawing on her background in various art disciplines.
